Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 until Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a small community that is located on the West Island, which is part of Montreal's island. Many people unfamiliar with the word frequently think that it's a separate island somewhere in the west of Montreal but in fact this part of West Island is home to everything from the City of Lachine west. Amanda Brugel grew up on the island and is frequently called her birthplace. But she only stayed there for a short period of time. Brugel developed on Courtice just outside Oshawa located in Ontario. The first goal she had was to become an expert dancer. However, a growth spurt caused her to outgrow all of the dance partners she had. In an interview with the Toronto Star, she confessed that "In heels I am 6 feet 1 inches." When I surpassed any male partner and stopped dancing, I quit. Many former dancers turn into acting. In the instance of Brugel,, it was the result of a recommendation from her drama teacher. The teacher who suggested she take on a part in the annual school production. The teacher who suggested that she pursue a part the annual school production. The show led her to receive a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000, she received her BA in Fine Arts at York University. For the last twenty years, her work has been featured on both the small and large screen. Her work gained most fame when she was offered the role as Rita in the acclaimed television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel appeared only on rare instances in the initial season of the series The Handmaid's tale. She was the only Canadian participant.
